About the Artist….

As a Florida indigenous contemporary artist. I'm a self-taught artist with works in the digital, acrylic and spray paint mediums. I find interests in many different aspects of life and inspiration can range from my own culture to “Pop” culture. Pieces I put up in and around my communities, give me a sense of pride in who I am and although not always appreciated, it does not stop the creative process and outlet.

Artist Statement:

Dear Observer,

I hope this artwork grabs your attention, while invoking your curiosity as it does my own. My works are primarily in digital art, acrylic and spray painting. I find the freedom in working with these mediums to be meditative and relaxing. My work could be described as a cross between “Street art and Native heritage”. It is influenced by my culture and community, that is crafted into a contemporary style. I hope it encourages the new generation of artist to rediscover our history while paving a new path of expressionism. While we evolve from our traditional crafting techniques of what is, to a blended mix in modern arts. The simplicity of symbols and letters with bright contrasting colors, translates into bold eye catching, easy to read designs. Such as inspiration from patchworks made by Tribal seamstresses. The silhouettes and most images I use are from photographs of actual Tribal people past and present. So, there is no shortage of references and allows me to keep that resilient spirit of those then and now, alive in my own way.
